Join Us
Lead merchant acquisition efforts for our fintech and payment solutions division. You will drive the expansion of our merchant network, onboard new businesses, and ensure sustainable growth of payment acceptance services.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement merchant acquisition strategies - Lead a team of merchant specialists and field agents - Set and achieve merchant onboarding targets - Build relationships with key merchants and business owners - Negotiate commercial terms and pricing - Ensure smooth merchant onboarding and activation - Monitor merchant performance and transaction volumes - Identify opportunities for merchant retention and growth - Collaborate with product teams on merchant solutions - Prepare reports on acquisition metrics and market insights
What you'll do
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field - 4-6 years of experience in merchant acquisition or sales - Proven experience in payments, fintech, or mobile money industry - Strong understanding of merchant services and POS systems - Leadership experience managing sales teams - Excellent negotiation and closing skills - Results-driven with strong commercial acumen - Fluency in English and Swahili - Willingness to travel within Tanzania
Preferred: - Experience with mobile money or digital payments - Knowledge of agency banking operations - Existing relationships with retail merchants
